This week's hands on activities revolved around the digital tool Evernote. I really enjoyed using Evernote especially when I set up a Zap between my Twitter and Evernote account. Each week I am amazed by the new digital tools this course exposes me to that I never even knew existed! However, after using the Zap I realized that my Twitter account also saves my liked tweets so I can still go back and access them without the Zap function. I also enjoyed using Evernote for the purposes of gathering information on my research topic. I found it very useful to have one place where I could store all of my gathered information. Having the Evernote icon on my toolbar was also very useful because I could save the information at a single click of a button. I have added Evernote to my PLE diagram that I made in week 2, and I have saved it under my school related digital tools. I will definitely use Evernote in my future studies as it has helped me become a more efficient digital citizen!
This week I also enjoyed the emphasis the course put on interacting with our fellow classmates. I was able to share my Evernote notebook with my two research partners, as well as comment on two classmates' Great Tools Discussion forum posts. I think that in online classes we can often feel isolated from our peers so it was nice to interact with you all in an online setting. I look forward to seeing what you have to post about next week!
